Jean Philippe Giacomini 17″ Dressage Saddle
Lovely approximately 17" dressage saddle measured from button to center of cantle. Includes a 28 inch girth. The flaps are approximately 15" from the bar to the bottom of the flap. The saddle is a rich dark brown and is in very good condition.
The JP Giacominis are very similar Andy Foster's Lauriche saddles that sell for several thousand new and generally for $3k or more used. Very high quality similar to higher-end brands such as Albion, Schleese, JRD, Custom, etc. I have had this saddle since the 90's (it was very lightly used as you can see from the photos). I am clearing out my beloved saddles.
The gullet is approximately 4 1/2 inches wide, the photo shows my hand in a fist in the gullet and the taped measured specifics . The saddle is not designed for a very high withered horse. It works well on moderate withers and the flatter backs generally associated with a quarter horse, Lusitano or Andalusian. It is likely considered a MW and has no width stamped on it.
